Paris, France is one of the most romantic destinations in the world, and because of that is a great vacation destination. You and your significant other can walk hand in hand down the Champs-Élysées, see the Eiffel Tower, and more. There is just something about Paris that makes almost anything you do or see even more romantic.

One of the most popular things to see in Paris is of course the Eiffel Tower. It was built in 1889 originally for the World’s Fair, but it was so popular that it was kept open instead of being torn down like originally intended. You can go up to the 1^st floor, 2^nd floor, or all the way up to the top. The views are absolutely spectacular, and get even better as you go higher up. At night, the Eiffel Tower is lit up, and is beautiful to see from almost anywhere in Paris.

Another very popular destination is the Louvre museum. It is huge, and houses some amazing art, including the Mona Lisa. Overall, there are 35,000 works of art. While of course you won’t have enough time to see everything, it is great to spend a day or part of a day seeing some of the departments you would like. Another great museum is the d’Orsay, which is housed in a building that was originally a train station. That makes not only the art amazing to see, but the building itself as well.

Some other amazing places to visit are the Notre Dame Cathedral, Arc de Triomphe, Montmarte, the Champs-Élysées, and more. If you’re interested in shopping, there are many shops from big department stores to little boutiques. You will see the stores of many internationally known luxury brands, such as Chanel, Versace, Armani, and more. You can even visit a flea market to get a good deal on something you like.

If you’re looking for romance, consider taking a cruise down the River Seine. Paris is so beautiful that just walking down almost any street at night is romantic. You can see beautiful views from the Eiffel Tower, or by climbing the Arc de Triomphe as well. If you’d like to go out, consider going to the opera, to the theatre, or to see Moulin Rouge, as you have many choices for entertainment.

If you love everything Disney, another place you can visit is Disneyland Paris, which is just a short drive or train ride from Paris. Here you can visit two theme parks, Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios. There is also Disney Village, which is an entertainment center with restaurants, bars, shops, and more.

While not in Paris, one side trip that is only about a half hour away by train that is worth visiting is Versailles. Here you can tour the amazing palace, as well as the gardens.
