Las Vegas, Nevada
Las Vegas is a great place for a vacation. With so many things to do in such a small area, you can have an amazing trip, doing whatever you'd like. You can see a pyramid, be treated like a queen or king, or even feel like you are in Italy.
In Las Vegas, there are two general areas. There is the Las Vegas Strip, which has most of the major hotels you have probably heard of, such as the Bellagio, Luxor, Paris, Harrah's, Venetian, Ceasars Palace, Wynn, and many more. Then there is Downtown Las Vegas, which is more of the "old" Las Vegas, and has hotels like the Golden Nugget, Freemont Hotel, Four Queens, Binion's, and many more. Depending on how much you want to spend on your honeymoon, you can stay at a hotel where you pay $30.00 a night to one where you pay $400.00 a night. The best part is, because most of the hotels are so close, sometimes these hotels are right next door to each other!
Las Vegas is obviously a huge gambling destination, and if you are going to Las Vegas to gamble, you will have many choices to find the place that's most comfortable for you to gamble in. You can find slot machines, video poker, blackjack, roulette, craps, poker, and more at almost every casino. The best part is that with so many choices, you will have no problems finding small or large minimum bets depending on what you are looking for. There are nice hotels like the Bellagio where the table minimums are frequently at least $15.00 per hand or higher, while there are also casinos where you can play roulette at $1.00 a spin. Of course, there are many in-between with $5.00 - $10.00 minimums, so you will have no problems playing at the level you are most comfortable with. If you don't like the ambiance of one casino, just a short walk away you will find another one that you might like more.
If you're looking for something romantic to do on your vacation in Las Vegas, there is something at every turn. There are the Bellagio Fountains, which are absolutely breathtaking at night. Every 15 minutes you will see a beautiful water show choreographed to a wonderful song. That is definitely one of the most romantic things to see in Las Vegas. There are many world-class restaurants that you can visit, and some of them have amazing views of the strip such as the Stratosphere or the Paris Eiffel Tower restaurant. You can even get a massage with your loved one at one of the many amazing spas in the nearby hotels. Even just walking down the strip at night holding hands with your significant other can be very romantic in this city.
If you like the nightlife, there is almost nowhere better to go than Las Vegas. Almost every hotel has at least one major club, and the clubs are definitely crowded each night! Just to list a few of the nightclubs, there is the Ghostbar, Krave, Lure, Mix, Coyote Ugly, Tabu, Pure, Rumjungle, Tao, the Voodoo Lounge, and many, many more. There are also tons of bars to choose from, many with different themes. You will see people all over the casinos at all times of the night, so this is a great city to visit if you like going out at night.
If you want to see a show, you have many to choose from. There are many that are Cirque du Soleil shows, such as Zumantiy (at New York, New York), KA (at MGM Grand), O (at the Bellagio), Mystere (at Treasure Island), and Love (at the Mirage). There are also some of the same shows you can find on Broadway, such as Mamma Mia, Monty Python's Spamalot, Phantom, The Producers, and more. There are also great shows, such as Blue Man Group, Folies Bergere, La Reve, Penn & Teller, and many others.
If you want to see your favorite singer or comedian perform, there are also many choices for that as well. There are some that perform almost every night, such as Barry Manilow, Celine Dion, Carrot Top, Danny Gans, etc, and then there are others that will come to Las Vegas for a day or two every now and then. Every night you will find many choices of different types of entertainment to see. While all of the previously named shows are at night, there are also some smaller shows that go on during the day if you already have plans for the night, but want to find some entertainment during the day.
If you are looking for some free entertainment, look no further. Just walking around the major hotels will keep you happily occupied for hours, even if you never step foot in a casino. There are many really cool things going on at each casino. Here are just a few to get you started:
