Family Fun at Sesame Place at Langhorne, Pennsylvania

Educational children shows may come and go, but there’s always one show that will occupy a permanent place in people’s hearts and that’s no other than our beloved Sesame Street. You can give your family a wonderful treat by heading off to Langhorne, Pennsylvania and letting your kids meet famous Sesame Street characters in person while enjoying the various rides, thrills, and attractions offered at Sesame Place.

What to Do at Sesame Place

There are many different things you can do at Sesame Place, which is open from May to October.  There is a big selection of both regular rides, as well as water rides, so you will be able to find just what the kids are looking for.  Here are many of them that kids will be sure to enjoy.

Monster Maze – It’s time for the family to fight together the evil forces…of lightweight punching bags! Those will be your enemies, and you have to punch them out of your way while you find the path out of this truly enormous maze. Are you and your family up to this challenge?

Sesame Neighborhood – Your kids have no doubt – and perhaps you yourself as well – imagined what it would feel like living in Sesame Street, and thanks to you, they can cease wondering and start reliving their dream at Sesame Neighborhood, an actual outdoor life-size and accurate replica of the set you get to watch in TV. Turn here and you’ll find yourself inside Bert and Ernie’s familiar home. Turn there and you’ll see the fire station of Sesame Street. It’s definitely a dream come true for the whole family, and it’s possible that none of you will want to leave this magical place afterwards!

Silly Sand Slide – Best for the young kids (aged seven and under), this ride allows them to climb on marble bags and then having a wonderful and exciting descent on the slippery slide.

Big Bird’s Court – If the aforementioned ride was for seven-year-olds wanting to feel a bit older, this attraction is for the even younger generation of five-year-olds and wanting to feel older their actual ages as well. In Big Bird’s Court, everything is designed to make them feel all grown up, but the true grown-ups – and that’s you, their parents – are certainly welcome to join in the fun as well!

Slimey’s Chutes – Accompany your son or daughter in this exciting waterslide. Infants are not allowed for this ride.

Mix n Match Twiddle Tracks – In this railroad ride, kids are in power as they get to travel around in twiddle tracks that are perfect for their size!

Vapor Trail – Not all rides in Sesame Place are for kids, and Vapor Trail is one good example. If you’re not ready for some vaporizing action with this rollercoaster, look for something less thrilling!

Shows and Workshops at Sesame Place

Besides the rides, thrills, and attractions, there are also shows and workshops offered and which allow your kids to enjoy interactive entertainment with Sesame Street’s famous cast.

At Big Bird’s Beach Party, the audience will have to sing, dance, and party with Sesame Street characters while helping Telly overcome his fears. In Elmo’s World Live Show, children will play like fishes – literally and figuratively – and learn more about the aquatic environment with Elmo’s help. Rock Around the Block Parade, back by popular demand, will feature human entertainers together with Sesame Street characters dance their way around the park. And a new addition to the park’s lineup of events is Abby Cadabby’s Treasure Hunt.

In Mystery, Math, and Monsters, young visitors are invited to participate in the park’s scavenger hunt as they learn to use math and science to hunt for clues and solve mysteries. In Hot Off the Press, K-3 level children will find out what it feels like to be professional roving reporters and news writers for a day.

Learning has never been fun, and going to theme parks has never been better until you get to…Sesame Street. Sing along!
