Launched in 2006, the Crown Princess is one of the youngest additions to the Princess fleet and is easily its pride and joy. While it bears a huge resemblance to the other sister ships in the Princess line, the Crown Princess has a larger passenger capacity, thanks to the addition of more cabin decks, allowing over 3,000 passengers on board for a single voyage. What you can expect from the Crown Princess
The Crown Princess is a big, beautiful ship; so expect a lot of company when you go on a voyage. Accommodations are also big in comfort. You can take a pick from more than a dozen cabin categories, from ultra-luxurious suites to economical double cabins. Eighty percent of cabins offer balcony views and each one includes amenities such as private baths, a TV and a room refrigerator.
When it comes to dining, the Crown Princess offers enough choices to accommodate your time and personal tastes. Aside from the traditional 'fixed-time' dining option, you can also enjoy its personal choice-style of dining, which offers you more flexibility. The fixed-time dining is available in the Michaelangelo room while the personal-choice dining is offered in both the Da Vinci and Boticelli dining rooms.
If you want more choices, the ship also features two restaurants offering specialty menu selections not offered anywhere else on the ship. One is the Crown Grill, a great place to go to if you're craving for some good old-fashioned steaks and great-tasting seafood. The other is an Italian trattoria called Sabatini's. For a small cover charge, you can enjoy unique dishes in a more exclusive setting.
And the dining experience doesn’t end there. The Crown Princess offers a variety of dining venues in strategic locations all over the ship. One is the Italian piazza-inspired Crown Plaza, which is located in the atrium. This is where you can relax, eat and enjoy yourself, much as you would in the street cafes of Italy.
You don’t have to worry about what to do when the ship sails because the Crown Princess offers plenty of entertainment choices. Its Movie Under the Stars features a movie theater by the poolside, allowing you to enjoy a good movie under the night sky. If you want lounge entertainment, the Crown Princess has brought a little bit of Vegas with it, courtesy of its on-board troupes and cabaret acts.
Aside from its hot tubs and swimming pools, the Crown Princess also offers spa treatments on board, along with the latest in fitness equipment. For adults who want to get away from it all, there is an exclusive no-children-allowed area called the Sanctuary deck that offers an outdoor spa with meals and massages.
