It is the latest among the cruise line’s Conquest class ships and undoubtedly lives up to one’s expectations of an ideal cruise liner. Like its predecessors, Carnival Liberty bursts with exciting features such as themed lounges and bars, restaurants, swimming areas, a spa, a casino, among many other things. It also boasts of a great number of staterooms with balconies, an extensive library, a three-tiered theater, a plethora of boutiques, and nightclubs for both adults and teens alike.

What separates Carnival Liberty from other cruises is its distinctive carefree mood, which clearly reflects its liberty. Inside, anything goes, and indeed anything can go through the endless kinds of activities that one can engage in onboard. Entertainment features are geared to please all kinds of people. The food is deemed to cater to all tastes and preferences. The lighthearted atmosphere ensures that people can just go there to have fun and more.

Endless Fun

Of course the vessel also lives up to the other half of its name, Carnival – and this means a cruise filled with fun things to do throughout its duration. Heading the wide array of entertainment offerings is the Venetian Palace, a fabulous theater with three decks. Here, guests can experience being both in Broadway and Las Vegas with spectacular shows such as Singin’ With The Big Band, Wonderful World, and Rock Down Broadway. Every night, guests are bound to witness great spectacles that will definitely make their stay like an endless carnival.

Liberty also features the first outdoor movie theater of the Carnival Line. The 270 square foot widescreen towers over the large pool deck screening band music throughout the day and showing family-oriented feature films at night. The indoor areas of the ship are equally entertaining as well with the Promenade being an outstanding conglomeration of entertainments from bars to lounges. Gloves Bar features a sports theme while Paparazzi is the classy wine bar. There is Hot and Cool for some dancing, Piano Man for some sing-along, Jardin Café for an after-dinner cup of coffee, Cabinet for cigar and jazz, Stage for karaoke and live music, and the impressive Empress Bar.

Carnival cruises are of course never complete with its silly activities throughout the day. Activities as wacky as bingo games, seminars for bad hair day, are all welcome features of the voyage. Guests can keep themselves busy with both unusual and customary things to do as they are out in the sea.

Recreation Facilities

The main pool section is indeed a prominent feature of Carnival Liberty. It spots two large whirlpools and the ever-present slide. Perhaps a cuter alternative to the main pool is the Versailles, which also features two whirlpools with retractable roofing, a grill, a pizzeria, and a nice bar. There is also the ubiquitous fitness center, where guests can work out their tanned bodies or take yoga and Pilates classes. An outdoor jogging track enables passengers to run some invigorating laps. Once you get tired, you can head to the spa for a massage, a facial or other treatment. For pedicures, manicures and chic haircuts there is a beauty salon.

Sumptuous Feasts

Mealtimes are something to look forward to on Carnival Liberty. There are two main dining areas: The Silver Olympian Restaurant, a nice and cozy traditional dining place, and the Golden Olympian, a posh and stylish option.
